Licensed Psychologist or Mental Health Counselor

 
 

Citylink Psychological Services, PLLC is a group practice offering psychological and behavioral health services to children, adults, and families in New York Metropolitan Areas, both Brooklyn Heights and Queens. We are seeking a part-time licensed Psychologist or LMHC to be an integral part of our team, where patients come first. As members of a growing private practice, we strive to make a difference. Patient care is our top priority.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administering phone intakes and screening tests

  • Admitting patients

  • Conducting structured clinical interviews

  • Providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and evidence-based treatment

  • Report-writing

  • Evening or weekend availability (Optional)

  • Flexible hours

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be licensed in New York State at the time of hire

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology or M.S./M.A. in Mental Health Counseling

  • Must demonstrate prior training in CBT, DBT, or ACT

  • Excited to integrate an evidence-based approach (CBT/DBT/ACT) with positive psychology

  • Seeking unique and excellent training in developing competence to work with diverse patient populations

  • Consistently utilize electronic medical records systems (EMP or Therapy Notes)

  • Ability to take initiative, high attention to detail, and great organizational skills

  • Assessing and diagnosing patients experiencing symptoms of psychological distress

  • Providing evidence-based psychotherapy to patients

  • Talking to patients about their experiences, emotions, and thoughts

  • Working with patients to set goals, develop a treatment plan, and gain insight through treatment

  • Working with patients to identify situations, behaviors, and thoughts that interfere with their wellness and recovery

  • Examining social issues that may influence a patient's mental well-being, including peer pressure, bullying, substance use, prejudice, work stress, financial challenges, and health issues

  • Referring patients to other health professionals as well as to other resources in the community such as other social services, job services, and support groups

  • Fluency in another language a plus
