PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENTS

What does Psychological testing and assessment entail?

At Citylink Psychological Services, we specialize in conducting a range of psychometric assessments to young children, teenagers, and adults. For children and teens, we can provide academic, cognitive, psychological, developmental, and behavioral assessments using 1:1 I-Pad based assessment systems (Pearson Q-Interactive). For adults, we offer gold-standard intelligence, memory, aptitude, psychosocial functioning, and achievement assessments using cutting-edge assessment tools and technology. The results of comprehensive assessments will provide a foundation for clinical recommendations for school or work and enhance overall interpersonal skills, cognitive abilities, treatment outcomes, daily productivity, and efficiency.

There are different types of psychometric tests for different purposes, such as personality, intelligence, mental health, social-emotional, or neuropsychological evaluation. Some common questions for psychological and developmental testing are:

·       Do you or your child have problems with sensory integration?

·       Do you or your child have trouble with sustained attention on tasks?

·       Is it normal if I or my child often feel(s) tired?

·       Is it normal if I or my child often forget(s) things or misplace(s) personal belongings?

·       Do you or your child feel anxious frequently?

·       Are you or is your child clinically depressed?

·       How good are your memory, attention, and problem-solving skills?

·       How often do you feel sad, hopeless, or worthless?

·       How can I or my child be more organized or productive with professional work or school?

·       How can I or my child receive accommodations for exams for professional work or school?

After a first intake meeting, Citylink will determine whether or not an evaluation is needed. Please contact us at (646)450-9969 for additional questions.
